Looks like Santa made one last stop to Putnam County Speedway today.. I just got word from the north pole that he has delivered some loads of clay to the track....He said he could'nt fit it in his sleigh with all of the gifts so he had to wait to bring it...

I had a good time at the track up until I had to leave for a party ...The racing looked real good in the heats from what I got to see..I bet the features were good... Thanks Raz for the gift that you gave me and the other drivers on the drivers meeting.. They were nice, Thanks Dham for telling me I am doing a god job with the site, & thanks Denise for handing out goody bags to the kids that were there tonite.. I had a good time seeing people that I haven't seen in a while at the track... And Thanks Clarence for giving us a 2008 season.. See ya all soon at the next race day..

That was an awesome day out there... I was really surprised on the amount of people that
came out.. The Infield is really looking good & Victory Lane is looking good too.. The
restroom's are looking allot better with all the work that went into them(Painting, New
Hinges, New counters for the sinks,Faucets, Etc..).. It really shows the support of some of
the drivers and others that care about there home track.
When I get all the name together I will let everyone know who to thank for coming out....

HALLOWEEN NITE FOR THE KIDS WILL BE SAT.OCT.25th DURING INTERMISSION.THERE WILL BE A BEST COSTUME CONTEST FOR 10 YEARS AND UNDER.THERE WILL BE A BOY AND GIRL WINNER.PLENTY OF CANDY FOR TRICK OR TREAT.WERE ASKING ALL THE DRIVERS TO PLEASE HELP OUT AGAIN.THE DRIVERS HAVE ALWAYS DONE VERY GOOD IN THE PAST AND I KNOW THEY WILL BE THERE AGAIN,SO SPREAD THE WORD AND BRING THE KIDS ON OUT.

MODIFIED RACE SAT NITE
Palatkas own Tiny Green is point leader in the modified divison,and sat nite was no let down of a race.Green started on the pole, and was to be the guy you would a have to contend with.But there was another buzz going on and that was about the 12 yr old of Hayden Campbell,who was starting on the outside of row 3.As the green flag fell on 10 car field it was green taking the lead with Josh Sanford in toe along with Mike Tripp in 3rd.they ran like that for 3 laps than Tripp got around sanford for 2nd trying to run down green.With one lap to go Joe Willis spun out on the back stretch and that would bunch the field back up the last lap.Then green came back out as Tripp looked to the inside of green for the lead Green held his ground and would take the win,Tripp 2nd and Sanford 3r.

Sept 27th

THIS WEEK THE RETURN OF THE LATE MODELS,ERIC PLATT POSSIBLY RETURNING ALSO.AFTER TAKING THE LAST LATE MODEL FEATURE OUTING,PLATT A GREAT DRIVER FROM JAXS.ALSO THE KIDS GET TO RIDE DURING INTERMISSION.I MENTIONED A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO THAT NEW SPONSORS CAME ON BOARD,WILL WITH THAT HAPPENING THERE ARE PLANS FOR SOME BIG RACES COMING IN THE NEAR FUTURE.IT WAS GREAT TO SEE CLARENCE SMILING AGAIN AFTER THE LOCAL BUSINESSES COMMITED TO THE TRACK. CLARENCE IS REALLY PLANNING SOME GREAT STUFF COMING UP AND ALSO AFTER SAYING THAT THE PURSES WILL NEVER BE CUT AGAIN.IT WAS GREAT NEWS ALONG WITH THE NEW SPONSORS.

AUG 30th
The Florida Dirt Racing Association will be issuing Florida Dirt Bowl Driver's Prize Fund checks the MiniStock division at this Saturday's races at Putnam County Speedway. $200 in additional bonus money will be given out to competitors in the MiniStock Class in addition to the regular class payouts! TWO checks for $100 will be handed out to randomly selected drivers finishing in the Top Five positions. After the race, two numbers will be selected randomly. If a "3" is pulled, then the driver coming in 3rd will be handed a check for $100. This will happen for TWO positions (two numbers selected, each receiving a $100 Florida Dirt Bowl Driver's Prize Fund check) Other classes will be recognized at other events going forward.

The Florida Dirt Racing Association is sponsoring the Florida Dirt Bowl on October 25, 2008 to be held at North Florida Speedway during it's first year of implementation. We are determined however, to ensure everyone is aware that this effort is about ALL DIRT RACING FACILITIES in Florida and the Southeast and supports ALL DIRT RACING DRIVERS. With this in mind, we are REACHING OUT to other tracks and racing events in support of the drivers who are dedicated to the sport of dirt racing, but struggling along with the rising costs of fuel and petroleum-based products.

Next Year, our plans are to include as many dirt racing facilities as we can in the Florida Dirt Bowl 2009, with different classes being run at different facilities. This will allow us to reach as many drivers as possible, and let as many dirt tracks participate as possible. Obviously, we cannot assist every single driver, but we are determined to assist as many as humanly possible.
