About Me

Pictured is Bill Schindler the one legged midget driver in the fabulous Caruso Offy . He lost the leg in a midget car accident , but continued to drive and had his crew lower him into car. Grandpa Caruso , the car owner , owned a junkyard in Hicksville NY and also campaigned a sprint car with Mike Nazurak at the wheel and won $100,000  with that car in 1948 season. I hope the attached photo come through. I love open wheel racing on dirt and asphalt and drag my friends from here in Palm Coast to your track. I do wish you could shorten your track but widen it , especially in the corners. Good luck in your new season.

PS: I saw my first midget race in 1948 and continue to enjoy going to see all types of racing.
